The meeting was well attended by private sectors, Non governmental organizations and the government bodies.
Among the key speakers were Hon. Joyce Emanikor, Turkana County's Woman Member of the National Assembly, and a representative from the Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA)

She highlighted that despite her county having a high prevalence in HIV/AIDS, very few measures are being taken to educate the community on prevention methods and how to use condoms correctly. For instance, in Turkana, women use the inner ring of the female condom as bangles while the men say it is very convenient to carry tobacco or even water when they take their herd to graze.

Prof. Orago, NACC Director also spoke at the meeting, and insisted on parents taking more control in educating their children on sexual matters.
Emily Karechio, The founder and President of Muthaa Community Development Foundation gave an enlightening and energetic demonstration on how to correctly use the female condom
